Reporting

The main reporting tool in OneView is the live dashboard that will provide you with a live overview of all your IT systems. The History view and the Summary view will add to the reporting capabilities.

In the Summary view you may convert the color bars in the boxes to numbers and a report by pressing the PDF Summary Report button. This report is mainly used in IT operation meetings as an input to discussions on special effort areas based on the actual service that was delivered to the end users.

OneView holds data for several months so you also make SLA reports based on real response time from real transactions delivered to real users. Please note that these numbers often deviate from numbers collected by scripted monitoring that are in your typical outsourcing contracts.

Last but not least you can create graphs for all the transactions that are used in your dashboard. Every minute several months back in time OneView holds data for all the transactions that you have used in dashboard. This is great for baselining your IT systems and can help you in showing:

  • Is response time slowly degrading?
  • Did the database tuning actually have an effect?
  • Did the last upgrade have any unwanted side effects?
  • Did the infrastructure patch have any negative impact on response time?

OneView gives you all the answers!
